Taylor Canyon Fire

UPDATE: 7.26.26 - 4:00 p.m.

The Taylor Canyon Fire sparked in the mid-afternoon of July 26, 2026. After initial pre-evacuation notices for the Taylor Canyon area between Almont and Jack's Cabin Cutoff, all evacuation notices have been cancelled at this time. Due to successful initial attack efforts, the fire behavior has moderated. The Forest Service is now managing the fire, and all local resources have left the scene.

All roads in the area are now open.
