Flash Flood Watch – Gold Mountain Fire Burn Scar – 8.13.26

A Flash Flood watch is in effect until 10:00 p.m. this evening for the Gold Mountain Fire Burn Scar. Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall are possible over the Gold Mountain Burn Scar, including portions of far southwest Gunnison County. Residents near/below the Gold Mountain Burn Scar should prepare for potential debris flow moving through the Cutler,and Dexter Creeks.

Be sure to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding of low-lying areas, urbanized street flooding, and debris flows in and near recent wildfire burn scars.
