Fire Restrictions Rescinded as of 9.18.26

Beginning Friday, September 18th, at 12:01 am, the Gunnison County Sheriff’s Office has rescinded all fire restrictions for all of the unincorporated areas of Gunnison County. 

Please note federal land agencies may have their own restrictions in place.

Please check with local municipalities for municipal fire restrictions, and check with the Bureau of Land Management, Gunnison National Forest, or National Park Service for federal land fire restrictions.

Please be careful with fire, drown out all campfires, keep fire contained, and do your part to prevent human-caused wildfires in the County. Thank you.
