EXPIRED: Winter Weather Advisory Wed.-Thurs. Oct. 14-15

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, through 6:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, for elevations above 9,500 feet in the Gunnison County area, including Crested Butte, Taylor Park, Marble, Monarch Pass, and surrounding mountain ranges.

Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible above timberline and wind gusts up to 35 mph.

Travelers should prepare for slushy and icy conditions on mountain passes, particularly during Wednesday’s morning and evening commutes. Please slow down, use caution and check current road conditions at COtrip.org.
